Shoot the targets in a room full of innocents.

This project was made for the Brackeys Game Jam, in the theme 'Trust No One'. We put an additional constraint on ourselves to make it a first-person shooter. We missed the deadline, but it was fun to make the game anyway. Enjoy!

How to play:

  • Press [space] to start a run.
  • The game generates a room with X targets / Y innocents.
  • Camera shows targets in red for you to memorize.
  • Game starts. Get the targets! Everyone moves fast.
  • If you shoot a target, the others will flash red (scared state.)
  • If you shoot an innocent, you fail and have to retry the room.
  • If you clear all the targets, you get a new room to try!

Known issues:

  • Many, as it's a prototype

Things we'd love to try if we had more time:

  • Probably turn it into a roguelike of some sort.
  • Time dilation? Maybe?
  • Targets hinder you in some way, instead of just hiding.
  • Rooms and challenge scale in different ways, rather than just size.
  • More interesting movement options? Or maybe it should be slow and methodical. Not sure.
